This recipe is a tried and true chocolate chip recipe. It is one of the simplest recipes for cookies. I’ve gone down the rabbit hole on cookies and have tried some pretty crazy recipes that take days to make. And out of all the chocolate cookies I’ve made, these are the most requested. My family and friends always say they are the best cookies they’ve ever had.
So a couple things to note…. These are giant and seem a little counter intuitive but trust the process. The more chocolate the better, chopped chocolate is amazing because all the little shards. If you are a nut lover add them, my girls are going thru a no nuts stage so I’ve made them just chocolate chip and they are perfect. You really do have to make them into large balls, the baking is very high and the cook time is short, when you take them out they might look undercooked but you have to give them a couple minutes to set and cool. Once they have cooled and set they are the soft and gooey on the inside and have a crispy outside. I add some flaky salt on top and it just makes them pop.
