Travel Essentials for Mamas

I’m a planner. I love lists and with 3 kids I need our travel to be as planned out as possible. We will be going on a long flight soon so these are specific for that but they work on road trips too. There will always be bumps in your travel but it helps to have a plan. These are the things that are a must have for me.

First dress cozy. Planes are so cold. I aways opt for a cozy sweat suit with crew socks. You can layer a tank top under with a t-shirt, so that you can take off layers if you need too. You need disinfecting wipes, sanitizer just won’t work.you need to wipe down things and clean grubby kids hands. If you’re lucky your kids will nap and you might even get a nap so you will need a cozy neck pillow.

You need traveling cubes. Trust me there is nothing worse than a kid crying and you looking thru a disorganized bag for something. If you separate everything, it will make your travel time a lot easier. Separate the essentials, your stuff, babies stuff and snacks. And you need a collapsible waterbottle. You will get drinks for your kids but it’s easier to pour it into a waterbottle that’s easy for them to sip from. That way you avoid most spills.

OK so now for entertainment… if you have a tablet load it with audible books and magazines, and content. And I recommend wireless earpods or the ones with the string. Headphones are too good, and you should be able to have one free ear to hear your kids. And when tablet fatigue hits… a good mommy and me doodle book with gel pens is amazing I like these gel pens because they are retractable and help you avoid an ink mess. The kids love that it’s a project for both of you.
